- Understanding – It is important to be able to understand each other. It is through understanding that a connection develops, and respect and love can be discovered.
- Acceptance – If you are in a relationship with a person, you need to accept him/her for what he/she is.
- Friendship – Basically, in a relationship, you need to be able to laugh at each other, cry with each other and yell at each other. Who better to do that than a best friend?
- Commitment – You need to be committed to each other, and you need to be in it for the long run. Staying focused on each other will let you last longer.
- Honesty – Honesty will help to build the right amount of trust in a relationship and couples can learn to value each other’s opinions and beliefs.
